How Does the New Medicine Service Work?

  • Step 1: Initial Consultation (When You Start Your Medication)

    When you collect your new prescription, our pharmacist will explain how the medication works, how to take it, and what side effects to watch for. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions about your treatment

  • Step 2: Follow-Up Consultation (7–14 Days Later)

    After one to two weeks, we’ll check in with you to discuss how you’re getting on with your medication. If you’ve experienced any side effects or concerns, we can provide advice, reassurance, or recommend adjustments if needed.

  • Step 3: Final Consultation (14–21 Days Later)

    By this stage, most patients are feeling more comfortable with their new medicine. In this final review, we’ll assess how well the treatment is working, address any remaining concerns, and provide long-term advice to ensure you get the most from your prescription
