Alli 60mg Capsules are used for weight loss and should be taken as follows:
Take one capsule, three times a day with your meals. This means you should take a capsule during or within one hour of each main meal.
Do not take more than three capsules in a 24-hour period.
Combine the capsules with a balanced, reduced-calorie and low-fat diet.
If you miss a meal, or your meal doesn't contain fat, you can skip that dose of Alli.
Note: It is important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any weight loss plan or medication. Do not use if you are not overweight, or pregnant, unless directed by a healthcare provider.
Orlistat 60 mg, FD&C Blue No. 2, Edible Ink, Gelatin, Iron Oxide, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Povidone, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Talc, Titanium Dioxide
Alli may cause various gastrointestinal side effects including oily or fatty stools, gas with discharge, and frequent bowel movements.
It may cause increased heart rate, signs of kidney problems, severe abdominal pain, or unusual tiredness.
Do not use Alli if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Patients with a history of gallbladder problems or pancreatitis should consult with their doctor before starting this medication.
Exercise caution if you are also taking thyroid medications or diabetes medications, as Alli may interfere with these.
Alli may reduce absorption of some fat soluble vitamins, so a multivitamin might be needed.
It's important to follow a low-fat, reduced-calorie diet while taking Alli to reduce side effects.
If severe side effects occur or existing conditions worsen, seek immediate medical attention.
Do not exceed the recommended dose, and avoid self-diagnosis or self-medication.
Always consult a healthcare provider before starting a new medication.
Avoid if allergic to orlistat or any ingredient in Alli.
Consult a doctor before use if you've a history of kidney problems.
Avoid if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
Not recommended for use in people below 18 years of age.
Consult a doctor if you're on medications for diabetes, thyroid disease or other medical conditions.
Do not take more than the recommended dose.
