The Canesten Thrush Oral Capsule Fluconazole is intended to be taken as a single dose treatment.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food, according to your preference.
Do not chew or break the capsule before swallowing.
The capsule should start working within a day, but it may take up to seven days for symptoms to fully disappear.
Remember, this medicine is not recommended for children under 16 and adults over 60. If symptoms persist after full treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Fluconazole 150mg, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate
Allergic reaction: Discontinue use if signs of a serious allergic reaction occur, like rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.
Liver damage: Long-term use may cause liver damage. Seek immediate medical attention for symptoms like persistent nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, light-colored stools, or yellowing of skin/eyes.
Heart rhythm problems: May cause QT prolongation, leading to fast, irregular heartbeats. Risk increases with certain pre-existing conditions or medications.
Dizziness and seizures: Avoid tasks that require alertness, like driving, until you know how this medication affects you.
Interaction with other medications: Consult with healthcare provider about other medications being taken as Fluconazole may cause serious interactions.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should only use this medication under a doctor's supervision. Please note this is not a complete list of side effects or precautions. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Do not use if you are allergic to Fluconazole or any other ingredients in this medicine.
