For adults and children over 12 years old: take one or two 5mg tablets at night.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew them.
If taking two, do not take them both at the same time, but with a gap of at least an hour.
Do not take more than your doctor has advised or for a longer duration than recommended.
These tablets generally induce bowel movement in 6 to 12 hours, so they are usually taken before bed to produce effect in the morning.
Dulcolax should not be taken on a continuous daily basis without seeking medical advice.
