Premique Description
Premique is a low-dose tablet used to treat menopause symptoms.
It's a form of HRT that can help reduce hot flushes and night sweats.
It contains two hormones and is taken every day in 28-day cycles.

What is Premique?

Premique is a low-dose HRT treatment. It contains the active ingredients conjugated oestrogens and medroxyprogesterone acetate. These hormones help raise the levels of oestrogen and progesterone in your body. This can lead to a reduction in menopause symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats, and it also lowers the risk of osteoporosis, which some women may face after menopause.

Each Premique tablet contains a combination of conjugated oestrogens and medroxyprogesterone acetate to offer continuous hormone replacement therapy (HRT). The tablets are packaged in sets of 28, and you should take them in sequence. After finishing a pack, start the next one the following day without any pause.

How does Premique work?

Each tablet contains oestrogen, which boosts the hormone levels in your body. During menopause, your body loses oestrogen, leading to uncomfortable symptoms such as night sweats, hot flushes, and difficulty sleeping. The oestrogen in Premique helps to replace the natural oestrogen you've lost, which can relieve these symptoms.

The progesterone in the treatment helps manage the oestrogen levels. Without progesterone, oestrogen might cause the womb lining to continue growing, which could raise the risk of endometrial cancer.

Who is Premique for?

Premique is suitable for women experiencing menopausal symptoms who haven't had a period for a year. It's particularly ideal for those who haven't had a hysterectomy.

These tablets will help these women feel more at ease and prevent the effects of osteoporosis as they age.

Premique low dose reviews

Premique is an effective hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for women who have gone through menopause. It offers notable health benefits and tends to cause fewer side effects compared to higher dose HRT options.

What dose of Premique is best for me?

Premique comes in two different doses. If you're new to HRT, our clinician will begin with the lower dose, which contains 0.3mg of conjugated estrogens and 1.5mg of medroxyprogesterone acetate.

If you're still having menopause symptoms that are affecting your daily life, our clinician might increase your dose to 0.625mg of conjugated oestrogens and 5mg of medroxyprogesterone acetate.

Does Premique low dose cause weight gain?

Menopause can affect your weight, regardless of whether you're on HRT. There's no proof that Premique or any other HRT leads to weight gain. If you're noticing an increase in your weight, have a chat with our clinician about healthy eating and exercise to help you lose weight.

Can Premique cause weight loss?

If you're losing weight, there's no evidence to suggest that HRT is the reason.

If you're experiencing unexpected or significant weight loss, have a chat with our clinician. Simply log into your account and send them a message.

Can I get Premique on prescription?

Premique is only available with a prescription. You can't buy it over-the-counter because hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can have serious side effects. It's important that our clinician keeps an eye on you while you're taking Premique or any other HRT treatment.

How long before Premique starts to work?

Premique can begin to ease your menopause symptoms in as little as two weeks. You should experience the full benefits within three months. If you still don't feel enough relief by then, have a chat with our clinician about other treatment options.

All HRT treatments can lead to noticeable changes in your body. It will take a bit of time for your body to adjust, and you might notice some side effects during this period. However, these should fade away after a few weeks.
