Senokot Tablets Adult should be taken orally, usually at bedtime with a full glass (8 ounces or 240 milliliters) of water or as directed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on your medical condition and response to the treatment. Do not chew or crush the tablets, swallow them whole.
It's important to note that the medication can take 6 to 12 hours to produce a bowel movement. Do not take more than directed or for a longer period than prescribed. If your condition persists or worsens, or if bleeding from the rectum occurs, stop using the medication and notify your doctor immediately.
Drink plenty of fluids, maintain a diet adequate in fiber and engage in regular exercise to prevent constipation. If these steps do not help, consult your doctor.
Remember, this medication should not be used for more than 7 days unless directed by your doctor. If you think you may have a serious medical problem, get medical help right away.

Senokot Tablets Adult can cause possible side effects like nausea, vomiting, cramping, diarrhea, or rectal bleeding. Overuse can lead to dehydration or electrolyte imbalance. It is not recommended for people who are allergic to its ingredients, have bowel obstruction, appendicitis symptoms, or abdominal pain. Seek immediate medical attention if any severe reaction occurs. Do not use for more than 1 week unless directed by a doctor. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. Keep out of reach of children.
