About the Treatment

Non-surgical injectable treatments designed to enhance natural beauty while softly restoring youthful facial contours

Dermal fillers are gel-based injectables that replenish lost volume, smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and sculpt facial features with precision and artistry. The result is a refreshed, balanced, and effortlessly rejuvenated appearance.

Our fillers are formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA) — a substance that occurs naturally within the body and supports hydration and skin elasticity. Because HA-based fillers integrate with your own tissue, results develop seamlessly and fade gradually over time, typically lasting between 9 and 18 months depending on the treatment area and product used.

Importantly, hyaluronic acid fillers are reversible. Should you wish to adjust or dissolve the product for any reason, an enzyme called hyaluronidase can break it down safely and quickly. This additional layer of control sets HA fillers apart from permanent or semi-permanent alternatives.

At Westbury Chemist, every filler treatment begins with a thorough facial assessment to understand your anatomy, your goals, and the most natural-looking way to achieve the result you want.

What We Treat

Dermal Filler Treatment Areas

From subtle lip enhancement to full facial profiling, our practitioners tailor each treatment to your individual anatomy and aesthetic goals.

Popular 👄

Lip Enhancement

Add volume, define the vermilion border, and improve symmetry. Choose from our Signature Lips technique or the structured Russian Lips method for a more defined, doll-like shape.

🍑

Cheek Enhancement

Restore youthful volume to the mid-face or create sculpted, lifted cheekbones. Cheek filler adds structure that supports the lower face, reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds naturally.

📐

Chin Augmentation

Strengthen and project the chin for a more balanced facial profile. Particularly effective when combined with jawline filler for total lower-face harmony.

Popular 💎

Jawline Definition

Create a sharper, more defined jawline by placing filler along the mandibular border. Ideal for softening jowling, correcting asymmetry, or achieving a more angular contour.

😊

Nasolabial Folds

Soften the deep lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. These "smile lines" deepen with age as mid-face volume depletes — filler restores a smoother transition.

😔

Marionette Lines

Smooth the vertical lines that extend from the corners of the mouth towards the chin. These lines can give the face a downturned or tired expression — filler lifts and softens the area.

👃

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Reshape the nose without surgery. Filler can smooth bumps, refine the tip, lift a drooping profile, and improve symmetry — all within a single appointment.

👁️

Tear Trough

Reduce the appearance of dark hollows beneath the eyes caused by volume loss. A delicate treatment that requires advanced technique and includes a review after four weeks.

🚬

Smoker's Lines

Fine vertical lines on the upper lip caused by repetitive pursing. Filler smooths the surface and restores a more youthful texture around the mouth.

The Westbury Difference

Why Patients Choose Our Clinic for Dermal Fillers

Westbury Chemist offers a carefully curated selection of advanced non-surgical aesthetic treatments using premium dermal fillers to refine, rejuvenate, and enhance natural facial beauty.

Our practice is pharmacy-led — which means you benefit from the same standards of product handling, clinical governance, and patient safety that we apply to dispensing medicines. Every product is CE-marked, batch-recorded, and stored in accordance with manufacturer specifications. We never use unbranded, grey-market, or unregulated fillers.

Your practitioner will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your goals honestly, and recommend only what will serve your best interest. If a treatment is not suitable for you, we will tell you. There is never any pressure to proceed.

Your Journey

What Happens at Your Appointment

Consultation & Facial Assessment

Your practitioner reviews your medical history, assesses your facial structure, discusses your goals, and creates a bespoke treatment plan. Fully informed written consent is obtained before any treatment begins. This takes approximately thirty minutes.

Preparation & Numbing

The treatment area is cleansed and marked. Many of our fillers contain a built-in anaesthetic (lidocaine), but a topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand for additional comfort.

Injection & Sculpting

Using fine needles or cannulas, your practitioner precisely places the filler in the targeted areas. Product is built up gradually, layer by layer, allowing the practitioner to assess symmetry and proportion in real time.

Immediate Aftercare

Results are visible straight away. Your practitioner provides written aftercare instructions, answers any final questions, and ensures you are comfortable before you leave. Final results settle over the following one to two weeks.

Review & Refinement

A follow-up appointment is available to assess your results once the product has fully settled. If a minor adjustment is needed, your practitioner can refine the treatment to ensure you are completely happy with the outcome.

Good to Know

Results, Safety & Aftercare

Your Results

Results are visible immediately after treatment, with the final outcome settling over one to two weeks as mild swelling subsides. Longevity depends on the product used, the area treated, and your individual metabolism — most HA fillers last between 6 and 18 months, with some longer-lasting products effective for up to two years.

You may notice some asymmetry during the settling period. This is normal and does not indicate the final result. Stay well hydrated — HA fillers draw water to maintain volume, so good hydration directly supports your results.

Common Side Effects

Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, and minor bruising are expected after any injectable treatment and typically resolve within a few days. Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure thanks to built-in anaesthetic.

  • Swelling — peaks at 24–48 hours, settles over 5–7 days
  • Bruising — common around lips and under eyes
  • Temporary firmness or small lumps as filler settles
  • Mild asymmetry during the healing window

Key Aftercare

Follow your practitioner's instructions carefully for the best results. Here are the essentials for the first 24–48 hours after treatment:

  • Do not touch, press, or massage the treated area
  • Avoid make-up for at least 12 hours
  • Skip alcohol, strenuous exercise, and hot environments
  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated on the first night
  • Stay hydrated — it directly supports filler performance

Frequently Asked

Dermal Fillers FAQ

What are dermal fillers made from?

Most modern dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in the body that supports skin hydration and elasticity. HA fillers are biocompatible, biodegradable, and reversible — making them one of the safest options available for non-surgical facial enhancement.

Do dermal fillers hurt?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort. Many of the fillers we use contain lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) within the gel itself, and a topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand for added comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as a brief pressure rather than sharp pain.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Longevity varies depending on the product, the area treated, and your individual metabolism. Most hyaluronic acid fillers last between 6 and 18 months, while some longer-lasting products may remain effective for up to two years. Areas with more movement (like the lips) tend to metabolise filler more quickly than areas with less movement (like the cheeks).

Can dermal fillers be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved at any time using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This gives both you and your practitioner an additional level of control and safety. We keep hyaluronidase in stock at our clinic at all times.

How soon will I see results?

Results are visible immediately. However, mild swelling in the first few days can make the treated area appear slightly larger than the intended final outcome. The filler continues to settle and integrate over one to two weeks, at which point you will see your true result.

What is the difference between filler and anti-wrinkle injections?

They work in completely different ways. Anti-wrinkle injections relax muscles to smooth dynamic lines (lines caused by movement). Dermal fillers add volume to the skin to smooth static lines, restore lost volume, and sculpt facial contours. The two treatments are highly complementary and are often combined as part of a comprehensive aesthetic plan.

Who is a good candidate for dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are suitable for most adults seeking volume restoration, facial contouring, or wrinkle reduction. A consultation is essential to determine whether fillers are appropriate for your goals. Fillers may not be suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, anyone with an allergy to HA or lidocaine, those with active skin infections, or patients under 18.

How do I prepare for my filler appointment?

Avoid alcohol, blood-thinning medications (unless prescribed), and supplements such as fish oil, vitamin E, and high-dose omega-3 for several days before your appointment to reduce the risk of bruising. Stay well hydrated and eat a light meal beforehand. Your practitioner will provide personalised guidance during your consultation.

Is it normal to feel lumps after filler?

Small, soft lumps can be normal in the first few days as the filler settles into the tissue. These typically smooth out on their own. Gentle massage may help, but only if your practitioner specifically instructs you to do so. If a lump is hard, painful, or grows in size, contact the clinic for assessment.

What brands of filler do you use?

We use premium, CE-marked fillers from Juvederm (Allergan), Restylane (Galderma), Teoxane, and Revolax. The specific product recommended for your treatment will depend on the area being treated, the result you want, and your practitioner's clinical assessment. All products are batch-recorded and fully traceable.
